Intel-Dialogic Telephony Board Simulator SrGUI is a Development tool used to simulate Intel-Dialogic hardware under different conditions. The obvious benefit is the ability to develop and test applications without having to install the actual telephony hardware or have the corresponding CO T1, E1, or ISDN Line. This greatly reduces development cost as well time to market.
The simulator can emulate all ANI, DNIS configurations as well as an extension on hook or off hook event. Global Call APIs are supported and the new DM3 architecture boards as well. Some explanations of current SrGUI interface: · in order to use ISDN signalization type (cc_ API) the check button ISDN has to be selected. · To use Global Call API (gc_) then check button Global Call is to be selected. · Strategy spin button means: 0 - NONE, 1 - generates regularly incoming calls on channel 1, 2 - generates incoming calls on all channels (stress test), 3 - generates incoming calls randomly on all channels (hammering test). · Wink mode section is used only for T1 trunks, PRI CAS Call Control, meaning with wink mode present and DTMF call engagement. - not to be used on E1s or ISDN approaches. · Channel field is used to select a specific channel and simulate incoming calls (Ring button), or hang ups (OnHk button). · If MSI boards are added in the list, then buttons Ext.OH, Ext.HU and Ext.RNG helps to generate specific related events per extensions meaning - station number is entered in Channel field, while events like: Off-hook, On-hook and Ring can be send using associated buttons. · Ring IP and OnHk IP are to be used only if IPLINK boards are tested to generated incoming calls and hang ups on NET side of the CTI platform. They are like Ring and OnHk, but for NET side of the gateway board, not for PSTN. · Response field is used to send specific digits to an engaged channel that is specified in Channel field - also here there is a slight limitation, digits have to be send after a prompt is finished, current version doesn't provide interruptible prompts. Any kind of changes made to the SrGUI interface has to be applied using the Apply button, excepting the Channel and Response fields that are related per call basis and not for Call Control or other configuration aspects. IMPORTANT NOTE: The new upgraded version also offers the feature to playback in realtime VOX or WAVE files using the sound card currently installed on the test machine, providing a very nice option to test live any kind of IVRs. Also some new fix-ups and functionality has been added into the current release.
